Are you committed to the wrong things?

When I hear statements like…

“People aren’t committed these days”

I personally believe it’s… WRONG!

People are super committed to things…

That just aren’t serving them.

We are committed to social media…

It’s just that most of us spend more time CONSUMING instead of CREATING.

And COMPARING ourselves to other people’s lives… then feeling shitty.

We are committed to gossip (what’s TRENDING becomes our life’s focus)…

We are committed to weekend parties…

We are committed to feeling insecure…

We are committed to staying mediocre…

We are committed to thinking about what other people would think…

What all of this tells us is… that COMMITMENT isn’t a problem for us.

We are COMMITTED.

We just need to ask ourselves…

Are we COMMITTED to the right things or the wrong things?

Right or wrong isn’t a moral question here.

Right or wrong comes from…

Is it helping me become who I want to become?

Or is it stopping me from becoming who I want to become?

Are you more COMMITTED towards your FUTURE version?

Or are you more COMMITTED to your present and past versions?

How would you know…  what are you more committed to?

Your actions and priorities will tell you.

Where you’re spending your time, money and energy will tell you… what you’re committed to.

Reflect. Take a few moments.

And see if you’re committed to the right or wrong things.

Without knowing this, it’s hard to make the progress you want in business or life.

That’s it for today.
