Don’t act like Mr. Eventually (it might cost you everything)
Let me tell you this story of Mr. Eventually.
He embarks on this journey to open his bar and restaurant.
It was his dream to be a business owner one day.
He is a hard-working guy.
And he makes magical drinks that people love (got some great bar skills).
But he has 2 issues:
1.) He doesn’t have his priorities straight.
2.) At times he has this attitude… eventually I’ll do it.
Even if he knows that the task or person is quite important.
This is his first business.
Plus bar and restaurant businesses cost a lot upfront.
So he gets a partner to share the burden of investment (50-50).
Getting a loan is important for him to get started.
But instead of focusing on that…
He is focusing on parties, drinking, and travelling.
His attitude… eventually he will do it.
And easily get the loan.
He applies for the loan… but doesn’t get it.
Because his paperwork wasn’t in order.
He had to do it again. Wasted some time.
But finally he got it.
He gets this place for a ‘bar and restaurant’ on lease.
He and his partner have a tonne of work in front of ‘em.
And each month they delay opening it… it’s costing him a lot of money.
He is stressed out…
because there are a lot of things to manage.
He is spending almost no time with his wife…
because he’s busy building the business.
But somehow he always finds time and money for partying, drinking, travelling, and chilling with friends.
His attitude… eventually he will get the bar and restaurant open.
He repeated this ‘Mr. Eventually’ lifestyle for 18 months.
Got divorced after 8 years of marriage.
Had to sell his previous investments.
Had to sell his home.
Became a broke person at 40.
And still, his bar and restaurant wasn’t open.
Mr. Eventually lost his wife, house, and himself…
because of his “eventually I’ll do it” attitude.
Ask yourself…
Are you acting like him in your business and life Ab14?
If no…
Great. Just remember Mr. Eventually.
And catch yourself if you start falling off the wagon.
If yes…
then today is the day to start turning things around.
Because the ‘eventually I’ll do it’ attitude might eventually cost you everything that’s near and dear to your heart.
That’s it for Today
