She said… “You’re the ugliest woman in the world”

I was watching this reality tv show…

And 2 female friends… who recently became enemies had a big fight.

In the argument, one of those girls said…

“You’re the ugliest woman in the world”

And that broke the other girl up.

Her insecurities were triggered.

She was crying non-stop.

There were other people who were calming her down.

And shouting at the other girl that she can’t say statements like this.

What does all this have to do with you or the coaching business?

Sometimes people closest to us will…

Keep triggering our old identity.

We’re trying to grow and create something big…

And they might say something like…

“You can try. But you never see things through”

“Oh! You still haven’t started making those 50k months yet 😂

“You can’t stay consistent with your bedtimes. How will you ever stay consistent with your business”

“You… a successful business owner? Hahhahahaa”

And on… and on…

What can you do in situations like these?

Here’s what I do:

1.) Tell them you don’t appreciate statements like these.

Set clear boundaries.

Tell them clearly what you’re trying to build. And you would appreciate their support in becoming that future version of yourself.

2.) If they keep doing crap like this, cut em off completely.

Or limit your time with them… for your own growth and sanity.

3.) Create a grounded identity like we do in our MM program.

P.S. Have you experienced any of this… people triggering your old identity?

And how did you deal with this?

That’s it for today.

Take care!
